BANANO is a DAG-based cryptocurrency with easy-to-use apps, distributed entirely for free through airdrops, faucets, and games. All happening in a fun, community-driven, meme-rich, and educational atmosphere. The BANANO community project cryptomonKeys started already almost a year ago with free distribution of BANANO-themed NFTs! Here’s another update from the project, with all ways how to get cryptomonKeys NFTs (and BANANO!) for free, plus an updated overview of cryptomonKeys games and apps!

cryptomonKeys Celebrated its First Anniversary

cryptomonKeys was launched on September 19, 2020 as BANANO community project with BANANO-themed NFTs being distributed entirely for free! It’s been huge fun and a huge success within this first year, with 60+ cards released, 100k+ total NFTs minted, $270k+ total secondary market sales, and 15k+ different wallets holding cryptomonKeys NFTs. The first cryptomonKeys birthday party was pretty epic, with lots of freebies, cryptomonKeys card pack releases and several new reveals including monKeyconnect and monKeymatching. Introducing monKeyconnect

With monKeyconnect, you can connect your WAX address to a BANANO address, and much more. Check your collection score, explore crytomonKeys NFTs and detailed stats, and connect other wallets/social media handles. This will be the basis for future apps we have in mind and give us the chance to drop some BANANO to cryptomonKeys holders (and vice versa). We recently already dropped NFTs to BANANO holders and BANANO to NFT holders in a first test run. Make sure you connect your Wax address holding cryptomonKeys NFTs and your BAN wallet to be eligible for future airdrops!

You’re wondering what you could do with your cryptomonKeys NFTs in addition to ‘just’ collecting/trading them and earn & farm even more? monKeymiles: Earn cryptomonKeys NFTs by playing Upland

cryptomonKeys is about making free NFT distribution fun, as a community and by connecting with other NFT/blockchain projects. Already several weeks ago, we started to reward Upland players with cryptomonKeys NFTs for visiting specific properties, similar to monKeymining. This has been in a beta stage in collaboration with the MetaForce comics project, initiated by Recourier. We recently rebranded this to monKeymiles and started to drop cryptomonKeys NFTs regularly to players who visit cryptomonKeys Upland properties. Note: Rewards are currently paused due to API limitations, however we’re working on better solutions so if you like start checking it out already! Details and updates here.

monKeymining (Earn cryptomonKeys NFTs by playing Alien Worlds) Update

In January 2021, we announced monKeymining: Earn cryptomonKeys NFTs by playing the game AlienWorlds! This has led to lots of attention and excitement and loads of new users joining the community and we meanwhile sent over 34k cryptomonKeys NFTs to miners and stakers in a total of 20 cycles!

Note: As announced before, we have paused regular widespread monKeymining rewards for stakers and miners after cycle 20 until further notice. We’ll review how to continue this in a better, more fair and newbie friendly way that fits our distribution aims and pace and also will depend on how Alien Worlds evolves over time. In the meantime, monKeymining lands and TLM have been moved to other accounts to streamline our internal accounting. We are flexible to adjust to anything that makes sense in the future. The whole NFT and blockchain games ecosystem is fast-moving and ever evolving — we’ll be sure to keep an eye on it and participate in fun and innovative ways as before.

At the moment and as we did in the past, we still have specific Alien Worlds based community events with cryptomonKeys NFT prizes running from time to time which are organized by enthusiastic members of our community and announced at our discord.
