A Brief Banano Infrastructure Update

Here’s a brief summary of recent Banano infrastructure updates for those who are not on our discord and might have missed them.

General Infra & BoomPoW Update

• We’ve added a dedicated GPU server to work in parallel with BoomPoW for core banano services (Kalium, Tipbot, etc.). This makes official services not dependent on BoomPoW.
• BoomPoW server is being rewritten to improve stability and resiliency.
• We are not accepting new BoomPoW contributors at this time. New services will be permitted after the rewrite provided they implement proper DDoS protection on their end.
• Post all of the above official Banano services will undergo a migration to a new kubernetes cluster, at that time any disruptions will be communicated.

Kalium Update

• Kalium v2.5.0 is out and introduces support for multiple seeds/accounts both on Android & iOS now. Especially helpful if you are managing multiple wallets.

wBAN Update

• wBAN v2.6.9 has just been released. Besides a few bug fixes, it’s mostly about BNB Smart Chain (aka BSC for old-timers) with a new farm available.
• Farm details: PancakeSwap v2 LP tokens for wBAN-USDC liquidity pool.
• Rewards: same rate as the other farms, that is 250k BAN / 4 weeks (regularly extended).
